Attendance
Regular attendance is strongly encouraged to gain the most from tuition.
Student absence
Every child’s place in their class is reserved for them and fees are due for all lessons in a half-term regardless of attendance.
In their final half-term year 11 students can select the lessons that they would like to attend in order to work around their exam timetable. You will only be charged for the lessons that they plan to attend.
Change of lesson time
If you provide at least 7 days advance notice of absence, we will do our best to change your child’s lesson to an alternative time within the 7 days prior to or the 7 days after the lesson for which they will be absent. Any changes are strictly subject to availability, there is no guaranteed that a change will be possible. Changes can only be made if a place is available in a suitable class and the introduction of another student will not have a negative impact on the students already in the class.
Lessons are booked in half-term blocks. Depending upon the length of the half-term there will usually be between 5 and 8 lessons per block. If you start lessons in the middle of a half-term the fees are based upon the remaining number of lessons left in the half-term.
Fees for small group lessons are £27 per hour.

Emma is fully qualified and insured to offer Full Diagnostic Dyslexia Assessments.
A full assessment can help learners to receive the support they need to make progress and succeed.
To complete a Full Dyslexia Diagnostic Assessment takes 3 hours in total as an assessment is quite comprehensive.
We recommend that these sessions are completed in two 1.5 hour sessions, this is less intense for the young person and allows some time for a ‘brain break’ if the young person requires one.
These can be completed within school hours, after school or during school holidays.
You can expect to receive your child’s assessment within two weeks of the assessment appointments.
We understand that every child is different and that parents and carers have a range of questions.
We are more than happy to discuss your child’s requirements over the telephone, via email or even at our centre in Standish.
Listening to your child’s needs helps us to ensure we find the most appropriate group for your child to succeed.
